On Friday 18th September, Christine Chapman AM opened the Abercwmboi Community Garden with the Deputy Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, Cllr Simon Lloyd. The project was the work of Cleaner Greener Communities, the Abercwmboi Environmental Group, and Abercwmboi Communities First, working alongside a large section of the local community.

Christine Chapman AM has welcomed the announcement of the investment of £16 million in the Valleys Cycle Network. The project will make it easier for people in the Cynon Valley to get around their communities by bike or on foot, and will become a crucial part of a larger network that will attract tourists from across the country.
